Hailing from the slums of Nishinari, Japan; this Yakuza was formed initially as an attempt to save their people in the form of protecting the interests of the lower-class and establishing a sacred connection to their traditional roots. The Akuma Clan fled to Seoul when the Japanese government raided six of their ten camps within the main cities of Japan.

The Yakuza follows a strict code of conduct called "Ninkyo," which places great emphasis on honor, loyalty, and respect. Members are expected to adhere to a set of rules and rituals and demonstrate unquestioning loyalty to their bosses and fellow members. Yakuza members often have elaborate tattoos that are seen as a symbol of strength, endurance, and commitment to the Yakuza way of life.

Upon moving to South Korea, the Yakuza was quick to hide in plain sight, settling within the slums of Itaewon, Seoul in 2020. Since then, they have conducted their work within the new country, sending their profits back to Japan to provide for their people at home.

ROLE The absolute sovereign of Akuma, carrying the weight of their exile. They oversee the sacred connection to their Japanese roots, ensuring every won earned in Seoul finds its way back to the families in Nishinari. Their word is law, and they act as the ultimate arbiter of Ninkyo, demanding the clan’s honor remains untarnished even in the mud of the Itaewon slums.

Born in the prefecture of Gifu, Japan; Takamasa was raised by a lone wolf. And taught Takamasa why it is valuable to be alone even if you are married. Takamasa's mother died from an unknown illness when he was just 4 years of age. So, he never really knew her.

When Takamasa turned 10 years old, his father thought it was a perfect time to treat a child how it truly was like to rule an empire. Takamasa was beaten, cut and tied up for days on end for losing against his father. A punishment for losing. And to remember to never lose again a day in his life, his father ran his favorite blade across his sons face as a permanent reminder.

Takamasa grew into a cold hearted man, who's true love is fresh, pure cocaine. But there is a side to him that only few have seen. A side that understands pain, depression and grief. Someone that understands empathy.

born on the slums of Osaka, asaya jurin had only ever known pain and suffering under the hands of her unloving parents. Her skin littered black and blue from the abuse, all bones from the neglect of nourishment a young girl never had. At the ripe age of 12, she was suddenly sold off for a meagre price and into the trafficking ring, where jurin was put into a container ship alongside with other girls into an island nearby.

Under the bright lights of Seoul, she was dolled up and paraded around as a product, a beautiful girl straight from the lands of Osaka, Japan. They were all deterred, all because of her eyes - the eyes of someone who had seen and felt too much of the world. She didn’t expect that her eyes had become the thing that saved her.

When blades cut through flesh and gunshots booms, she didn’t flinch. When the sword was directed at her, she didn’t look away. Jurin look straight into the man who wields it, unperturbed and ready to face death. But the man only laughs at her resignation “You are a brave one, little wolf”

Matsumoto, the Wakagashira and her oyabun, took the little wolf under his protection and mentorship. He taught her the ways of a battle and how to be a master for her katana, respecting the ways of the ninkyo in a land foreign to her. She became the enforcer, and his precious daughter. The death of Matsumoto is ironically calm for a yakuza, taken away by illness and old age, surrounded by his family and of course, his daughter. To earn his title, she still had to fight her way for it. Years of dedication, training, and blood paid off as she inherits his title.

Himura Jungkook was abandoned as an infant in South Korea and later adopted by the Himura family in rural Hokkaido, Japan after the loss of their biological son. Though given a home, Jungkook grew up feeling more like a replacement than family. Poverty, brutal winters, and an abusive adoptive father shaped much of his childhood, while his emotionally distant mother stood by in silence. By his teens, he had learned survival through under-the-table work, street fights, and long nights spent avoiding home whenever he could.

At sixteen, after a violent beating left him hospitalized, Jungkook ran away and eventually found himself in the slums of Nishinari, Osaka. Survival came through underground fighting, debt collection, and dangerous odd jobs until he crossed paths with the Akuma Clan, a Yakuza organization dedicated to protecting lower-class communities while preserving their traditions. Drawn to their code of Ninkyo, Jungkook found purpose, discipline, and for the first time, a place where he belonged.

During recovery from countless injuries, Jungkook became fascinated with irezumi, viewing tattoos as stories of survival rather than decoration. His talent and discipline eventually earned him the role of Irezumi-shi, overseeing the clan’s “Symbol of Strength” and the brutal endurance trials of new recruits. It was within the Akuma Clan that he earned the alias Zero a reflection of the nothing he came from and the cold, unreadable man he became.
